This is the story of Elizabeth,a micro preemie, born at 23 weeks and 3 days gestation and her 6 year old big sister Ava. Born on April 15, 2007, Elizabeth was 1 pound 3 ounces and 10 inches at birth.

Our Little Gymnist!
On Sunday we attended Ava's gymnastic show. It was a chance for them to show off all of their skills that they have been learning. Ava had fun and all of the children were awarded with their very own medal.

Elizabeth was born weighing just 1 pound and 3 ounces. She spent 109 days in the NICU; coming home one week before her due date. She spent a month a a ventilator, then moved toCPAP, and was on oxygen for 5 months. She had a PDA ligation, Grade 1 IVH, ROP laser surgery, multiple blood transfusions, and a sepsis infection.
