Darn Faries

Well they are at it again.

Our fairy friends have been causing some trouble around here- well at least according to Elizabeth. As you might remember we discovered that we have fairy visitors last summer. It has been very exciting to see if they have left things around the house and sometimes a little sad to discover that toys that weren't put away are sometimes taken back to pixi-land. Well the unthinkable has happen. Those naughty fairies have STOLEN Elizabeth's bottles! She is horrified that they could have done such a thing and she really doesn't care that there are baby fairies who might need them.

DONT THEY KNOW THAT SHE NEEDS THEM!!??!!!

How could they do that to such a sweet little girl?

Here's hoping that she continues to gain weight and makes up for the calories that she took in with the bottle in other ways. We are trying to make due with a sippy cup before bed, but it just isn't the same.

On the Potty Train!

That's right we are going full speed ahead! And we are indeed celebrating the exciting news that Elizabeth is potty trained! We have gone almost two weeks with NO accidents (still wetting diapers at night)!! Elizabeth decided to do it over night, on a Wednesday she wanted to wear her new Dora panties but would just stand and pee in them; the next day I told her if she got Dora wet she couldn't wear them anymore- that seems to strike a chord and she has been doing great since. We even have broken the public toilet barrier. Hurray for Elizabeth and hurray for no more diapers!!!
(Editor's note*we do not encourage eating on the potty, she had her sister to thank for that- GROSS!*)

Family Pictures/ Thanks Kiera!

This post has been a while coming; if you haven't noticed I just haven't had time to sit a blog lately. Over Labor Day weekend (told you it has been a while) we traveled to Indianapolis and were able to visit with friends, who we hadn't seen in FOREVER and family. It was a wonderful weekend and so good to see so many people after spending two years on virtual house arrest.

While there Matt's cousin, Kiera graciously offered to take some family photos. We are so lucky to have this incredibly talented photographer in our family! If you live in the Indy area and want some amazing pictures taken she's your gal, not to mention that she is super fun and our kids are the same age so they have a great time playing together too!

Here are a few of the fab pictures that she took and here is the link to Kiera Photo!

These last two are very special. We took this picture of Elizabeth when she was about three weeks old and literally fighting for her life. This was the worst and sickest week that she had. I had very little hope that she would survive. On her arm she is wearing Matt's wedding ring. I asked Kiera to take a few pictures of Elizabeth holding the ring as a two year old and they are just perfect!

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone one had a great New Year! Here are a few pictures from our Christmas this year.

Ava was Mary in her preschool Christmas program. She was so sweet and very excited to be Mary.

Ditto!

To those of you who always ask why, here is a nice little summary of lung disease. It can be found on Eliza Grace's blog titles "The Tree(s) of Life". Here are a few pictures of Elizabeth using the various devises mentioned in the posting.

Ventilator

CPAP

Nasal Cannula

A follow up to my last posting: 5 sick doctor visits. 3 prescribe medications. 2 current medications increased. 2 sick girls

Symptoms and diagnoses included: fever (both), pink eye (Ava), NASTY cough (Elizabeth), asthma (both), sinus infection (Ava), & a sore throat (Ava)- I think that covers it.

Tis the Season

It's that time of year . . .

So far we have been lucky and it has "just" been colds and a sinus infection.
